SNOW LIMITS SKI SCHOOL LTD – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for your booking with Snow Limits Ski School. We pride ourselves on providing a professional but friendly service and we hope you have an excellent experience with us this year and hope to see you in future years!  

Our Terms and Conditions (T&C) below are set out and governed by English law. If you have any queries at all on our T&C please don’t hesitate to contact us. Once the booking is made the Client agrees to the following T&C.

BOOKING TERMS

Once a booking is made with Snow Limits Ski School a 50% deposit of the full amount on the invoice is required up on booking and the remaining 50% payment is required to be settled six weeks prior to the lessons commencing. 

CANCELLATIONS

Should the client wish to cancel a booking, we require this to be applied for in writing via email. The cancellation and refund terms are as follows: 

12 weeks notice before the booked session – 100% of the deposit paid
6 weeks notice before the booked session – 50% of the deposit paid

Once full payment is made 6 weeks prior to the lessons commencing the lessons are non-refundable. 

GROUP LESSONS 

Our 2 hour children’s and adult group lessons require a minimum of 3 people to run. Where this minimum is not met, reduced number of lessons; alternative lessons or refund will be available.

Our 4 hour children’s and adult group lessons require a minimum of 4 people to run. Where this minimum is not met, reduced number of lessons; alternative lessons or refund will be available.

Children’s Group lessons have a maximum of 8 booked places. On occasion, the maximum number may increase if the ability of a child in one group suits another group better than the group they are in.  In this situation this would therefore, mean another group number will go down.

REFUNDS

Refunds are not available where lessons have been missed due to; Client late arrival, client Illness, client accident, mountain closure, adverse weather conditions, mechanical failure, or for any other cause outside the control of Snow Limits Ski School. If you require a letter for insurance purposes please contact us and we will be happy to provide this for you. 

Snow Limits Ski School reserves the right to cancel a lesson where reasonably necessary. In this instance an alternative lesson or refund will be available.

It is the Client’s responsibility to arrange appropriate insurance to cover any activity undertaken during a Snow Limits Ski School session. Snow Limits Ski School does not provide insurance for any Client or third party.

OTHER MATTERS

On matters of safety during the session the decision of Snow Limits Ski School’s instructor should be respected and is final. Clients should ensure they are fit and appropriately attired for physical activity in a mountain environment.

Snow Limits Ski School excludes all liability, to the extent permitted by law, for any injury or loss suffered during a Snow Limits Ski School session.

The Snow Limits Ski School instructor will wait a maximum of 20 minutes from the session start time, at the arranged meeting point, unless notified by the Client in advance.

Having the appropriate lift pass is the responsibility of the Client and is not included in the session price.

COMMENTS / COMPLAINTS

Any complaint should be made known verbally to Snow Limits Ski School immediately and in writing within seven days of the incident. Snow Limits Ski School will endeavour to resolve such complaints to the satisfaction of any aggrieved party. 

DATA / PRIVACY 

Snow Limits Ski School will not store customer financial details (credit or debit card numbers). 

Snow Limits Ski School will retain your details you provide upon booking for future newsletters and offers from time to time. Please get in touch to inform us if you would not like us to retain these details and we will remove you from our contact list. We will store these details in line with our Privacy Policy. 

VIDEO FOOTAGE / PHOTOS 

From time to time Snow Limits Ski School takes footage of clients in our lessons using video and photos, we often send this on to you as a keepsake. We may use this footage in our marketing material or on our website. Please let us know by email should you wish for Snow Limits Ski School not to use any photos/videos taken of you or your children for this purpose.

Snow Limits Ski School (“SnowLimits”, “SL Ski School”, “we” or “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and adhering to all relevant Data Protection Legislation. In this Policy, “Data Protection Legislation” means all applicable legislation which relates to the protection of individuals with regards processing personal data, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. We protect any personal data that you provide us with & ensure it is stored securely.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT  

We collect any information provided to us by you via our website, emails, telephone, text, letter, online and offline forms, an online enquiry form & subscribing to our newsletters. This information you give us can include your name, address, email address & phone number. It can also include personal details such as age, date of birth, family information & medical requirements.

Please note that we do not store any financially relevant information such as credit card numbers.

We may also collect emergency contact details which have been given for the purposes of your booking ski instruction.

HOW WE MAY USE THIS INFORMATION

We may use this information to provide you with information, products and services that you request from us or that you have asked to receive through communication preferences or newsletter & mailing subscriptions.

This is also relevant for internal use to keep records of all our bookings & auditing purposes. We use email addresses to send newsletters to you about any interesting information. Your information will also be used to enable us to respond to any of your comments and queries, plus notify you about any changes that are relevant with regards to Snow Limits Ski School. We will contact you by telephone or email unless you request otherwise.

You have given us consent to the use of your personal information when you updated your details via our General Data Protection Regulation newsletter. You can change your mind at any time and unsubscribe using the links on our newsletters or send us an email.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may share your personal information with selected third parties who we work with and act as our partners.

We would never pass on excessive information and will always send solely what is required to execute your booking on behalf of you.

We may also share with Google analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our Website.

Our website contains some external links. If you click on one of these links, you are leaving our site and we do not have any control over the external websites. From that point on, our privacy policy is not in use anymore.

We will never misuse or sell your data to anyone. You may unsubscribe using the links on our newsletters or send us an email. You also have the right to ask for a copy of any personal data we held, request access, erasure, object to processing, restriction of processing, the transfer to another party and withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information.  In these circumstances, please contact our data protection officer through the various contact methods as below under “CONTACT”.

 

STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Any changes we make to our privacy policy in the future, if necessary or required by the law, will be amended on this page and where appropriate notified to you by email. Please check our Privacy Policy regularly to ensure you remain up to date. This policy is effective from 25th May 2018.

In accordance with using this website, you accept our privacy policy. Any personal data you provide us with gives us consent to use it, as referred to in this privacy policy and solely for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
